Helice World Championship’ Ovar, Portugal; Chris Potter reports:

We flew with TAP Air, no problems on the way out, Heathrow security was normal procedure.
The club in Ovar was very welcoming and had done a lot of work to make the event successful. The competition started on time and finished at a sensible hour.
Conditions were very windy, making it difficult to be consistent; nevertheless we came home with medals:

Ladies Team GOLD: Dionne Rogers, Kate Grime, Jane Bell
Ladies Individual SILVER: Nicola Heron
Junior Individual BRONZE: Tristram Allen

Overall, a good event, well run and well shot by the British Competitors.
Small problem on departure: several people were charged ‘excess baggage’, anything from 75 -100 Euro! There seemed to be no logic as to who got charged. Managers and shooters please be aware of this when travelling to Oporto.
