Angie Oliver

It is with great sadness that the BICTSF has heard about the passing of Angie Oliver. Angie was well known in the trap community as a fierce advocate for both the sport and for shooters. An accomplished horsewoman in her younger years, we were lucky that Angie turned her hand to shooting, particularly in support of her devoted partner Geoff and her dear son George.

Angie served on the Boards of the Welsh Clay Target Shooting Association and the Welsh Target Shooting Federation and represented Wales as a Team Manager numerous times.

In recent years Angie had done battle with cancer not once but twice and yet she never complained and simply battled through, most recently working at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation Championship at Griffin Lloyd in September.

Angie was a kind, thoughtful, hard working person, happy to help anyone in the sport from newcomers to the more experienced among us. Her absence will be keenly felt at shooting grounds across Wales but we all remain the richer for having known her.

We would like to extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends at this sad time.
